Title: REQUEST TO LIST HOME AT 1609 24TH AVE ON THE LONGVIEW REGISTER OF HISTORIC PLACES The property owners of the R.D. Hamilton House at 1609 24th Ave have requested to list the property on the local register of historic places. See attached Nomination Form, Historic Features list, Historic Inventory, and Criteria for Determining Designation in the Register Recommended Action: If the commission finds that the nominated property is eligible for the Longview register of historic places, the commission shall make recommendation to the city council that the property be listed. Motion to recommend City Council list 1609 24th Ave onto the Longview Register of Historic Places, finding that the home is significantly associated with the history, architecture, archaeology, engineering or cultural heritage of the community; it has integrity; is at least 50 years old, and if it falls in at least one category of significance for designation (specifically).
