SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The project includes construction of streetscape improvements including sidewalk and ADA ramps, bio-filtration planters and stormwater facilities, paving, and trees and landscaping improvements. The improvements will be made on Tennant Way from 7th Avenue to 15th Avenue.
On April 15, 2015, five bids were received as follows:
$1,870,447.14 - Sterling Breen Crushing, Inc., Chehalis, WA
$1,987,800.10 - 3 Kings Environmental, Inc., Battle Ground, WA
$2,085,900.00 - Advanced Excavating Specialists LLC, Longview, WA
$2,183,398.20 - Five Rivers Construction, Inc., Longview, WA
$2,200,890.56 - Olivas Valdez, Inc., LaCenter, WA
$2,300,000.00 - Engineer's Estimate
All bids received were determined to be regular and responsive.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
This project is funded by the Stormwater Fund, Arterial Street Fund, and state Dept. of Ecology grants.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Motion to accept the bid and award a contract to Sterling Breen Crushing, Inc., in the amount of $1,870,447.14.
