This is the second six month extension of a moratorium orginally put in place by the adoption of Ordinance No. 3302 in October 2015. Per RCW 35A.63.220, the City Council needs to hold a public hearing within sixty days of the adoption of the ordinance extending the moratorium. As part of the extension process findings of fact also need to be adopted. Resolution No. 2187 contains findings in support of the retention of the moratorium on the siting of emergency shelters. A work plan and schedule for completing the zoning code amendment process is attached. ...
