The City hired Ecological Land Services (ELS) to assist the City in the update. On March 6, a draft update was sent to the State Department of Commerce who then sends it on to other State departments for a 60 day review period. The State Department of Ecology has already submitted their comments. City and ELS staff will be meeting with Ecology staff soon to discuss those comments. SUMMARY STATEMENT:

The Growth Management Act requires jurisdictions to periodically update their critical area regulations.  The City hired Ecological Land Services (ELS) to assist the City in the update.  On March 6, a draft update was sent to the State Department of Commerce who then sends it on to other State departments for a 60 day review period.  The State Department of Ecology has already submitted their comments.  City  and ELS staff will be meeting with Ecology staff soon to discuss those comments.  So far, there does not appear to be any major problems.

Conduct the workshop
