Title: INDOOR SHOOTING RANGE PRESENTATION SUMMARY STATEMENT: The Longview Police Department has been working on a new Law Enforcement Firearm Training Range for the last two and a half years. The current outdoor range we are using will soon be closed and is inadequate. This presentation is a proposal for an indoor range located within the city limits of Longview, partnering with Firing Range Services (FRS). We have currently been awarded $271,000.00 from the State of Washington towards this project. This FRS firearm range would not only be an excellent training range for our officers but would also be a benefit to the community; not only for individual use but as a draw to the City of Longview. RECOMMENDED ACTION: Approve CIP request for $700,000 in 2019-2020 budget Direct staff for a lease agreement with Firing Range Services STAFF CONTACT: Chief Jim Duscha, Capt. Robert Huhta
