SUMMARY STATEMENT:

This workshop will cover a recommendation from the Parks and Recreation Department regarding entering into a professional services agreement with a firm to perform athletic facility master planning services for land owned by the City of Longview west of 48th Avenue.  A presentation including the most recent history of the process to seek out the most qualified firm to perform the service as well as a firm recommendation will be presented to City Council for consideration.  Staff will be seeking approval of the recommended firm and direction for potential funding sources. A timeline, completion date, partnerships, and future project implementation will also be discussed.

 

RECOMMENDED ACTION:

Direct staff to bring a Professional Services Agreement to consider at the July 12, council meeting to begin the master planning process for an athletic facility complex.
